It's officially a trend. Doggie daycare that transports your pup for a day at the beach or the trails? All while off-leash frolicking with four-legged friends? Sounds great to me! But is it great for our dogs? Sterling Chu of Movin' Mutts Canine Care breaks it down for us.
Meet Sterling Chu:
Sterling's interest in working and connecting with animals started as soon as she was born. From a young age she has been riding horses, and working with dogs and other animals. At a very young age of three she was bucked off her first pony, and was nipped on the lips kissing a dog goodbye, but that never stopped her passion. For many years Sterling has spent time living on ranches, training horses and studying working dogs. One of her hobbies is training her 15" Tiger Oscar Cichlid in his 130 gallon aquarium. Along with 'Oscar' the Tiger Oscar Cichlid, she shares her home with frogs, dogs, snakes, and an axolotl.
Sterling has worked for popular Bay Area dog daycare facilities, and pet retail stores such as Pet Food Express. She is an AKC Certified CGC Evaluator, and she is also Certified through the Marin Humane Society through Trish King's Canine Behavior Academy. Sterling is a teacher and evaluator for the Foundation for Service Dog Support (FSDS), supporting owner-trained service dogs and their handlers. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT).
